Presbyterians Approve Chastity Amendment
The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) voted in March to require its ministers to live in marital fidelity or chastity. In doing so, the church banned the ordination of single ministers with sexual partners, either heterosexual or homosexual. The requirement will be added to the church's Book of Order in June. In response to the controversial vote, several church leaders have urged Presbyterians to remain unified.
