Drummer #29 and Drummer #38, 1979. Mr. Benson was serialized in Drummer issues #29-38, 1979-80. The cover photograph for issue #38 was by Preston.

Alternate Publishing, 1980. Art by Brick. The cover text says: "ORIGINAL UNEDITED / Mister BENSON / JACK PRESCOTT / FROM THE PAGES OF DRUMMER". This edition, which was advertised in 1979 and 1980, was never published. It was replaced by the 1983 unillustrated edition. The image was taken from a black-and-white advertisement for the book. See Mr. Benson is Advertised . . . Again and Again for the novel's printing saga.
